How many young people are unemployed?

Around 11% of 16-24 year olds in the UK are currently unemployed, which is about 450,000 young people. This figure is higher than the overall unemployment rate. The government's AI boot camps aim to address this by equipping some of these young people, particularly in the North West, with skills for in-demand jobs.
