How does MLS work?
Major League Soccer (MLS) is the top professional football league in the United States and Canada. Unlike many European leagues, it operates on a franchise model with no promotion or relegation. Teams are divided into Eastern and Western Conferences, with the best teams from each conference competing in playoffs for the MLS Cup.
