How do music charts work?
Music charts, like the UK Official Album Downloads Chart, rank songs and albums based on sales and streaming data over a specific period, usually a week. They reflect public popularity and industry trends. Dolly Parton's album climbing from number 21 to number 1 shows a dramatic shift in listener behaviour, directly impacting its chart position.
