How do drones get through?

Kyiv has a multi-layered air defence system, using a mix of Western-supplied Patriot and NASAMS systems, alongside older Soviet-era defences. These systems intercept most incoming drones and missiles, but some still manage to penetrate, especially during large-scale attacks or when targeting specific areas like the National Academy of Sciences.
