Women in UK arts feel they face age and gender discrimination
A new report reveals that 95% of women in the arts believe gender inequality still exists, with three-quarters experiencing unconscious bias or sexism. More than two-thirds felt age negatively impacted their careers, rising to 100% for those in artistic roles. AI in hiring is also making things worse by penalising women who take career breaks for caring duties.
