The London-founded money transfer business, which has about 19 million global customers, originally filed the paperwork over twelve months ago. The US Office of the Comptroller of the Currency turned the request down, but the company says it will reapply. Bosses maintain their current American operations will carry on normally in 48 individual states and four territories.
