Will Kent Outbreak Finally Change UK's MenB Vaccine Policy?
A meningitis B outbreak in Kent has caused two deaths and over 20 confirmed cases, with all patients hospitalised. Health Secretary Wes Streeting has asked the independent JCVI to review eligibility for the meningitis B vaccine for older teenagers and young adults, as current NHS policy only covers infants, leaving university-aged students unprotected.
