Why your calf size might predict your lifespan
A study revealed that individuals in older age groups whose calf circumferences measured less than 31cm experienced approximately twice the risk of mortality across a nine-year span. The link between calf size and longer life seems to be especially true for older people. Scientists believe calf size could show a person's sarcopenia, which is age-related muscle loss.
