Why do some patients refuse certain scan staff?

Some patients refuse to let radiographers or sonographers touch them for scans because of their ethnicity, a new union poll found. The Society of Radiographers says members described explicit racist remarks, part of a rise now at a five-year high across the NHS. SoR's Dean Rogers and NHS England's Thomas Simons both called the findings unacceptable and promised new standards to protect staff.
