The World Health Organization (WHO) has declared the hantavirus outbreak that affected passengers on a cruise ship officially over. This rare Andes virus strain infected 13 people and killed three, with the last person exposed completing their quarantine and testing negative. More than 650 contacts were identified and followed up across 33 countries since the MV Hondius set sail on 1 April.
