Westminster Council wants to ban standing in Soho pubs

Westminster City Council has proposed a new licensing policy that would discourage "vertical drinking" and ordering at the bar in pubs across Soho and the West End. Pubs are encouraged to offer more seating and table service, rather than large open bar spaces, according to the council's draft policy.
