Waymo says its robotaxis cause 95% fewer serious injury crashes than human-driven cars

Waymo's examination of 271 million miles travelled without a human driver indicates its robotaxis have a much better safety record. The company says its vehicles are 95% less likely to be involved in crashes causing serious injury or worse. Waymo also reports 93% fewer crashes involving pedestrians and 86% fewer with cyclists.
