Walmart finally allows payments from Apple Pay and Google Pay
Walmart, the world's largest retailer, is finally accepting tap-to-pay options like Apple Pay and Google Pay, ending an eleven-year refusal. The rollout begins on Monday, August 24, at selected Walmart and Sam's Club locations, with all US stores expected to have the feature by the end of 2026. Walmart previously pushed its own Walmart Pay system, which required scanning a QR code.
