Wales Under 'Danger to Life' Amber Weather Warning as Torrential Rain Threatens Extensive Flooding

The Met Office has issued an amber weather warning for much of Wales, running until midnight Monday, with forecasters warning of fast-flowing floodwater posing danger to life. Up to 120mm of rain could fall on highest ground, with 20-40mm expected widely. Over 40 flood alerts are active across Wales as saturated ground and swollen rivers increase flood risk. The British Geological Survey warns that similar rainfall amounts have previously triggered landslides. Travel disruption and power cuts are expected across affected areas.
