Victoria Line Emerges as London's Phone Theft Hotline with Criminal Gangs Using Underground Route to Escape
British Transport Police have identified the Victoria line as a major hub for phone theft criminals on London's underground network. An organized pipeline has been created by criminal gangs who utilize the Victoria line for a quick, 10-minute escape from West End theft hubs like Green Park and Oxford Circus to Finsbury Park. As part of a broader crackdown on crime in the Finsbury Park area that began in December 2023, police have arrested over 600 individuals.
