US teenager drops social media addiction lawsuit against Meta, Google and Snap
The 15-year-old girl walked away from the case without taking any settlement money from the tech giants. She abandoned the California court battle because she wants to move on, rather than fight claims that the apps fuelled her depression. Her claim was supposed to be a major test case for more than 3,300 similar lawsuits still waiting in the wings.
