US loses many drones, planes in costly Iran fight
American air operations in Iran are proving far more expensive than expected, with significant financial and operational losses for US forces. Despite over 13,000 strikes since February 28, Iranian defences and counterattacks have challenged US air dominance, damaging advanced aircraft and support systems. Losses include at least 24 MQ-9 Reaper drones and an MQ-4C Triton, amounting to roughly $720 million for the Reapers alone.
