US Justice Department says handgun sales ban for under-21s is unconstitutional
The US Justice Department has decided that a federal ban on selling handguns to people under 21 is unconstitutional. Its Office of Legal Counsel said on Friday that adults aged 18 to 20 are protected by the Second Amendment. As a result, the department lacks the legal authority to prosecute individuals who supply handguns to adults in this age bracket.
