UK to Mandate Ethnicity and Disability Pay Reporting

The UK government has committed to introducing mandatory ethnicity and disability pay gap reporting for employers with 250 or more staff. Once legislated, firms will be required to publish six key pay metrics, mirroring existing gender pay gap rules. The announcement on 25 March 2026 follows a consultation in which 87 per cent of respondents supported the move.
