UK risks AI lag due to poor 5G mobile networks, say executives

Senior telecoms executives warn the UK's slow 5G mobile network upgrades could make it an AI laggard globally. A Which? report found mobile coverage here is worse than all 27 EU states and every other G7 country. VodafoneThree's networks director, Andrea Donà, called the current quality embarrassing and wants planning reform for upgrades.
