UK pupils perform well in global reading, maths, science tests

UK teenagers have once more achieved strong results across global assessments in science, reading, and maths, although they remain surpassed by leading nations such as Singapore. The Pisa report, an evaluation by the Programme for International Student Assessment, involved 760,000 15-year-olds from 91 countries. Georgia Gould, England's schools minister, expressed the government's desire to further develop these favourable outcomes.
