UK joins G7 in pledging Ukraine aid

Volodymyr Zelenskyy, Ukraine's president, announced that his nation had successfully obtained crucial new backing from global leaders. At the G7 summit in France, leaders pledged to enhance Ukraine's air defense capabilities and energy provisions, and to intensify economic sanctions against Russia. Zelenskyy confirmed on Wednesday that partners will support Ukraine's defense and resilience, and bring in new sanctions.
