UK job security falls to lowest level since April 2023

Consumer confidence in the UK dropped in August, mainly because people are more worried about their job security. The S&P Global UK consumer sentiment index fell to 42.9 for the month, down from 43.4 in July. The job security data from the latest survey showed 45.6, its lowest point since April 2023.
