UK invests £7.8 billion in new space defence strategy

The government's new space strategy, backed by a record £7.8 billion until 2030, aims to strengthen the UK's defences against threats from space. The plan includes £2.8 billion for defence communications and £30 million for SaxaVord Spaceport in Shetland. Business Secretary Jonathan Reynolds said the strategy will help Britain launch satellites and protect services people use daily.
