UK Inflation Slows to 3.6% in October

UK consumer price inflation dipped to 3.6% in October, easing from 3.8% in September. The slowdown was driven mainly by softer gas and electricity prices and cheaper hotel stays, offering the first monthly relief since May. Core inflation also edged down to 3.4%, though food and drink costs remained high at 4.9%. The fall gives the Bank of England slight breathing room ahead of key rate decisions, but inflation remains above its 2% target.
