UK inflation hits 3.3% as fuel costs rise

Household costs are climbing again as price growth picks up after earlier easing expectations. Official data on April 22 showed the annual rate reached 3.3% in March, up from 3.0% in February, with fuel costs driving the increase. The Bank of England now expects it to near 3.5% by mid-2026 after the conflict began on February 28.
