UK Confirms National Living Wage Increase to £12.71 for Over-21s from April 2026
The UK government has confirmed the National Living Wage for workers aged 21 and over will increase by 4.1% to £12.71 per hour from April 2026, providing an additional £900 annually for full-time workers. The 18-20 age group minimum wage will rise by 8.5% to £10.85 per hour, while rates for 16-17 year olds and apprentices increase 6% to £8 per hour. The increases affect approximately 2.4 million workers and form part of Labour's plan to make work pay and ease cost-of-living pressures.
