Uganda discharges final Ebola patient, begins 42-day countdown

Uganda has discharged its last Ebola patient, starting a 42-day countdown to be officially declared Ebola-free. The country recorded 20 confirmed cases and two deaths in this outbreak, which began in May. Most cases were visitors from the Democratic Republic of Congo, where the outbreak's epicentre remains active with over 2,000 confirmed infections.
