Uber has agreed to buy ezCater, a US marketplace that businesses use to order large catered meals, in an all-cash deal worth $2.3 billion. Founded in 2007 and bootstrapped for years, ezCater handled more than $2.5 billion in bookings over the past year. Chief executive Dara Khosrowshahi says Uber's reach can win restaurants bigger orders, as the company keeps expanding its fast-growing food delivery empire.
