U2 celebrated their 50th anniversary by playing a gig at Mount Temple Comprehensive, the Dublin school where they first met. Frontman Bono told the pupils, who gave the band a hero's welcome, that they had "escaped from the lab". The band played hits like I Will Follow and With Or Without You, ending with One.
