Typhoon Fung wong forces mass evacuation in Philippines

On Sunday night, Super Typhoon Fung-wong hit the northeast Philippines, resulting in at least two fatalities and prompting more than 916,000 people to leave at-risk zones. With winds reaching 185 km/h, the storm disrupted power supplies in eastern provinces and led to hundreds of flight cancellations. The event occurred as the country was still coping with the aftermath of Typhoon Kalmaegi, which caused over 200 deaths last week, leading to a state of emergency.
