Two British women die in Romania minibus crash with 8 dogs
Allison Condon and Rachael Harvey-Purkiss, aged 41 and 61, died on Thursday in Caraș-Severin county, western Romania, after their UK-registered minibus crashed. They were on a rescue mission to transport 10 dogs to new homes in France, but eight of the dogs were also killed. Police said the minibus went onto the wrong side of the DN6 national road and hit a Romanian lorry head-on.
