Thousands of abandoned e-bikes seized by London councils this year

Local authorities in London have seized 3,393 abandoned or dangerously parked e-bikes so far this year, a 23% increase from 2025. Lime bikes accounted for over 2,000 of these seizures, with Forest at 978 and Voi at 103. Campaigners say abandoned bikes are causing injuries and making it hard for blind and elderly people to get around safely.
