Six months of diplomacy that calmed the Greenland crisis looks undone, with US troops in Europe now the bargaining chip. Trump said at Tuesday's NATO summit in Ankara that Greenland 'should be controlled by the United States', and floated pulling American troops from Europe over the pushback. He admitted the row has hurt NATO ties and repeated the false claim that Chinese and Russian ships surround the island.
