Taylor Swift released her 6-minute "Opalite" music video on February 6, 2026, transforming Croydon's dreadful Whitgift Shopping Centre. The production features Oscar-winner Cillian Murphy, Domhnall Gleeson, and Lewis Capaldi navigating the 3-storey mall, which currently suffers 73 vacant units and leaking roofs. Local MP Sarah Jones celebrated the project for highlighting the struggling venue, previously known for abandoned Westfield plans.
