Suspect faces prison over Taylor Swift concert bomb plot
Prosecutors accused 21-year-old Beran A of terrorism regarding a plan to target the singer's Vienna shows in August 2024. Authorities allege he constructed a shrapnel bomb using chemicals after receiving instructions from the Islamic State group. The defendant could serve two decades in jail if convicted of these offences. Three sold-out performances were cancelled following a CIA warning, affecting more than 195,000 attendees.
