Barnham parish council in Suffolk will ask villagers to decide on Saturday, October 24 if they should hold a referendum. This follows Piddington, Oxfordshire, whose residents voted last month to "secede from the UK" over asylum seeker housing. Barnham locals are concerned about plans to convert a former RAF base into a camp for 1,250 asylum seekers.
