Storm Claudia Batters UK with Month’s Rain in 24 Hours
Storm Claudia is bringing flooding and travel disruption to the UK, with amber warnings issued for central and southern England and Wales. Some areas could see up to 150mm of rainfall—a month’s worth in 24 hours—falling on already saturated ground. Wind gusts up to 70mph are expected in northwest regions. Power cuts and transport disruption are likely.
