Storm Austen is battering the UK on Friday, with an amber wind warning covering Cornwall and parts of Devon until 10am. Gusts of 60-70mph, and up to 80mph on exposed coasts, could bring down trees, cause power cuts and disrupt trains and ferries. Some schools are shut. Yellow warnings cover most of England, Wales and parts of Scotland, with Storm Boelo following at the weekend.
