Spotify to label AI artists from September, blocking them from playlists

Spotify will start labelling AI-generated artists as "AI personas" on their profiles and track listings from September. These artists, including Velvet Sundown, will not appear in personalised recommendations by default. The streaming platform will use human review and AI tools to identify fake artists.
