Spire Healthcare gets £1 billion buyout offer
Patients at Spire Healthcare, Britain's largest private hospital operator with 38 hospitals, might see future changes. Toscafund, a hedge fund and Spire's second biggest shareholder, made a non-binding £1 billion proposal to buy the company. The board stated it would recommend the 250p per share offer if a firm offer is tabled.
