Spire Healthcare, the UK's biggest private hospital provider, has agreed to a £1.03 billion takeover bid. The investor group behind the offer is headed by Toscafund Asset Management. Shareholders will receive 250p per share, a 66% premium on Spire's closing price on 13 May.
