SpaceX agrees to clear mobile gas turbines by July 2027
On Thursday, an agreement was reached between the Mississippi Department of Environmental Quality and the rocket and artificial-intelligence company owned by Elon Musk. The agreement sets a timeline to remove all 69 temporary mobile turbines powering the Southaven site near Memphis by July 2027. SpaceX agreed to the plan after civil rights and environmental groups launched a legal challenge over operating permits.
