Soho makes UK top five for independent shops despite crime worries

New research indicates that London's Soho district ranks among the top five locations in the UK for independent retail establishments. JDM Retail, a retail property consultancy, evaluated thousands of customer reviews to identify premier shopping destinations. Edinburgh's Grassmarket came top, followed by Shrewsbury, York's The Shambles, and Sheffield's Devonshire Quarter.
