Social media turning more young people into keen readers

TikTok, Instagram and YouTube host the BookTok and Bookstagram communities, inspiring a new generation to read more. Teenager Mia from Bristol says reading helps her screen time stay "definitely lower" as she prefers books to TV. The online trend has even led to dedicated sections in bookshops and a new BookTok bestseller chart.
