Sir Keir Starmer resigns as Holborn and St Pancras MP

Sir Keir Starmer announced he is standing down as the MP for Holborn and St Pancras, triggering a by-election in the London constituency. He told the Camden New Journal newspaper it had been a "huge honour" to represent the area for 11 years. Starmer, who left his role as prime minister earlier this summer, will now focus on "international affairs".
