Shetland spaceport receives £30m government cash for expansion
The UK government is investing £30 million in SaxaVord Spaceport, the UK's first fully-licensed spaceport in Shetland. The funding aims to unlock a further £30 million in private investment, bringing the total to £60 million for new facilities. The funds will facilitate the construction of an additional hangar and two further launchpads, and two German firms are already making launch preparations.
