Scotland's deficit falls to £25.3bn as tax revenue grows

Scotland's public spending deficit dropped by £600m last year, reaching £25.3bn, as tax revenue increased more quickly than expenditure. Revenue saw a £6.3bn increase, reaching £98.3bn, a 6.9% rise, and expenditure climbed by £5.7bn to £123.6bn. Consequently, the expenditure for each individual in Scotland stood at £22,281, surpassing the UK average by £2,720.
