Scotland to cut health boards, cap bus fares at £2

First Minister John Swinney announced plans to reduce Scotland's 14 health boards to two, as part of a public sector reform programme. He also confirmed that bus journeys in the west of Scotland will be capped at £2, starting from Monday. Swinney pledged cooperation with trade unions concerning the health board cuts, guaranteeing no compulsory redundancies.
