Saturn's south pole now has a strange 10-sided atmospheric shape
Astronomers have found a new 10-sided atmospheric shape, called a decagon, near Saturn's south pole. The decagon joins the well-known six-sided hexagon at the planet's north pole, first seen 44 years ago. Images from the Hubble Space Telescope confirmed the decagon, which has sides each measuring about 16,800 kilometres.
